This Privacy Policy describes how Lugal (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects
information when you use our mobile application and related services (the “Service”).
1) Information we collect
- Account information: When you sign in using Google, we receive basic profile details such as your name, email address, and profile photo (as provided by Google).
- Location information: We collect your device location to show nearby vendors within 5 km and assign you to the appropriate service area/franchise.
- Usage information: App interactions like pages viewed, feature usage, and basic diagnostics to improve stability and experience.
- Order & transaction details: Items/services booked, order status, totals, wallet credits/redemptions, and support-related records.
- Chat content: Messages you exchange with vendors (text, images, audio). We store and process this to enable chat and to help with dispute resolution and support (where required).
- Payment information: Currently we only accept cash on delivery payment system. very soon we will be implmenting upi facility in our app.
2) Why we use your information
- To provide location-based vendor discovery and show services available in your area.
- To process orders/bookings and manage fulfillment with vendors.
- To support wallet rewards and redemptions (e.g., redeem once wallet reaches ₹100).
- To enable chat between users and vendors.
- To improve app performance, security, and user experience.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3) How we share information
We share information only as needed to provide the Service:
- With vendors: Order details, delivery/service address, and chat messages necessary to fulfill your request.
- With service providers: Hosting, analytics, storage, and messaging providers used to run the Service securely.
- For legal reasons: If required to comply with law, enforce terms, or protect rights and safety.
4) Location & service availability
Lugal uses your location to show vendors within a 5 km radius and to route your requests through the
relevant operational area. If no vendors are available nearby, some features may not work.
5) Data security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No system is 100% secure,
but we work to protect data from unauthorized access, misuse, or loss.
6) Data retention
We retain information as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes,
and enforce our agreements. Chat and order records may be retained for support and audit purposes.
7) Your choices
- Location permission: Location is required to use the Service because vendor availability depends on it.
- Language: You can choose English / தமிழ் / हिंदी in app settings.
- Account access: You may request access, correction, or deletion of certain personal data (subject to legal/operational requirements).
8) Children’s privacy
The Service is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9) Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Effective date” above and may provide
additional notice in the app when changes are significant.
